Ted Cruz vs Fiola! Right Wing Raiders Target Yelp! Save for later Reblogpost

Senator Ted Cruz and his wife are eating out at a Restaurant named “Fiola” in Downtown DC. It was a nice meal, quiet place, good time – until a crowd of democrat protestors came in to harass him over politics! The people at the restaurant escorted the protestors out, and made Cruz leave as well; after everything was taken care of, Ted Cruz came back, and sat down to finish his meal.

How do we know about this? Because the video was tweeted out by “Smash Racism DC” – a left wing group that thinks harrassing politicians is a wonderful thing. They also tweeted – “Fascists not welcome!” – Which is funny because some key tenets of fascism are:

1) Forcible suppression of opposition
2) Totalitarian politics
3) Rampant political violence

Like the targetted harrassment campaigns of the Nazi Party’s Brown shirts… In other words, they plan to stop fascism – by behaving like fascists. That ought to show them!

I’m sure you recall, something similar happened to Sarah Sanders over at the “Red Hen” – it made national headlines! They ended up closing down actually, because the scandal was just THAT BAD. Not only were the media reports damaging, but multiple supporters of Sarah Sanders went on Yelp to attack The Red Hen Restaurant until it lost all business! And now it seems, the same is happening to Fiola in Downtown DC…

The Restaurant Fiola responded to this little event with a public statement on Twitter, in it they explain their side of the story. Notable portions of the statment include the assertion that their “stellar management team” was able to diffuse the situation so the Cruz family could return and finish their “exceptional meal”. Looks like Fiola knows how to turn a scandal, into a promotional opportunity.

That didn’t stop the internet though. At the time of writing this, you can go on Yelp to view this restaurant and you’ll see an “Active Cleanup Alert” is active. According to Yelp, the site will be taking down any reviews that seem motivated by party politics – and Yelp was right to do this! Just like The Red Hen, people were leaving negatives reviews to attack Fiola and hurt their business, as expected. And that means people both on the left and the right.

On the left people were leaving positive reviews because quote “All the right wingers hate this place, they need five stars”. And that of course, only stirs up more right wingers to leave negative reviews! And as the right leaves more reviews, the left feels like they must as well – its a vicious cycle!

For the sake of historical documentation, as well as a good laugh, lets take a look at some of the reviews left by people attacking Fiola:

Mike R. said – “While a wonderful place to have dinner if you are a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, a member of the GOP isn’t welcome here!”

Laurie C. said – “Weak employees letting people in wearing pussy hats who interrupted my dinner! Never coming here again! Your fish was dry too!”

& Dan M. said – “Witnessed a US Senator Ted Cruz chased out of your restaurant tonight by out of control leftist snowflake protesters! You should be ashamed of yourself…”

And the comments go on. In total there were at least 30 negative comments left for political reasons on the Fiola page, and last I checked the number was still rising. That’s right guys, its only getting worse. BUT – Yelp has already said they’ll take down any political reviews – so now people are getting more – creative with their criticism. Recently, people have tried to downplay the politics to avoid the Yelp moderators. Now…

DM. said – “The Matire d had terrible body odor and his jacket was filthy. Soup was cold and the “fresh” tuna was still frozen!”

Dean H. said – “Food was cold and I found what appeared to be a pubic hair in my soup! I would avoid this place in the future!”

& Summer T. said – “Not a friendly place at all! Doesn’t like Hispanics or women! Saw a roach on the wall, Restroom was filthy!”

Now you can keep reading on your own if you like, but chances are – Yelp is going to take them all down. The most recent comment on the 25th was – “Uncomfortable Atmosphere; reeks of unwashed liberals” – So chances are – ironically – this Yelp page is going to be scrubbed clean.

I’m also leaving a review – that will definitely get taken down – because its honestly, hilarious! Democrat fascists track you down and target your family meal – Republican trolls say there’s pubic hairs in the soup! Its nice. Its good to see that people noticed this terrible story – and decided to make their voice heard. Now obviously I’m glad the joke reviews are being taken down – But I’m also glad they were written. If people keep getting involved and making their voices heard, maybe someday this kind of talk won’t be necessary. Hopefully, someday soon.
