Nicki Minaj: Only – Most infamous song in 2014 Save for later Reblogpost

I guess I don’t have to tell you, that this year, 2014, was a Crazy year, like very Crazy! Let say just some: Anaconda, Only (yeah, this is also from Nicki Minaj), We had all sorts of things from songs with 1 line lyrics to songs with one of the most infamous lyrics so far packaged with more infamous videos.

I really do think that this year the whole industry took the whole thing onto a different level, so basically we had songs with very minimal lyrics, over-sexualized soft-porn music videos, many times both the lines and the pictures contained many subliminal messages and the whole list is just goes on and on.

I think there is no contest here, the “Only” is the most infamous song and music video released this year and I do not think that the industry could easily top this one. The team has released two videos, a lyrics video and a recorded music video, but both are very offensive.

In the lyrics video we can see anything from a fascist army to Nicki’s butt or from missiles and destruction to a pope? What am I looking at? Nevermind. Is that their life goal to make the world to be like that? To wage war against others for more power and money? I don’t know, but these things are already very wicked. 

Basically the song is all about crying about what the media and other people are gossiping about them. Why do they care so much about those gossips? I am why do they care so much? In the song they first deny something and two or 3 lines later they gonna also state that, yeah, they could have done that thing secretly or behind closed doors. The whole song is worse written, than her Anaconda and they have included much more for our please in the official music video.

This video was created inside the studio and it explains everything about the previous lyrics video and the actual lyrics of the song. We got tons of subliminal messages, lets begin with the guy who is getting scratches by claws while he is in a bondage. We got a Chris Brown with glowing red contact lenses and we got several other stuffs, like horns and a line which starts with “Sparks in the air, like the 4th of July”.

Put these things together and you will have a different understanding of the whole stuff.

On the other hand I do not thing that the lyrics are good at all, I mean yeah they are somewhat representing these rappers, but I don’t fell like that this type of representation would be really required for them.
