Let me expand on that, a bit.

All immigrants are not equal. People who come from India are vastly over-represented in starting businesses and American educational achievement. The reason for this is obvious: If you come from India, a mostly poor country of 1 billion people, and you are able to afford an airplane ticket to the United States, you are extremely likely to be an extraordinarily clever person. The distance and the large population, rising to the top in such a large population and the cost of an airplane ticket itself, act as a de facto immigration screening mechanism, making Indian immigrants extremely high quality…young, smart, highly educated…exactly what we need.

On the other hand, if tens of millions of migrants from Mexico walk into the United States, they cannot afford an airplane ticket, you check the data and you will find that very, very few of them have any level of education and they are looking for very low skilled work. People who walk across deserts in the middle of the night because they cannot afford an airplane ticket, those people are desperate, poor and uneducated. You will find very, very few future Silicon Valley CEO’s among that group of people. Likely none. Mexico is not sending their best, as President Trump put it. And mothers sending their daughters from Mexico give their daughters birth control pills, because the Moms know their daughters will very likely to be raped along the way, by the disgusting creeps running the whole operation. Nancy Pelosi won’t build a Wall, even though she supported the idea in the past. Nancy Pelosi is a rape enabler.

So all I’m saying is, a little common sense, people.

We used to need a lot of people, to make things. Take a look at these guys working, putting together a Model T car….by hand:

However, this is changing. This is not your great-great grandfather’s economy. An obvious point: a quick search of videos on you-tube confirms that most manufacturing and also farm work is being automated at breakneck speed, so the last thing America needs is tens of millions of people looking for work in manufacturing or agriculture. If tens of millions of people from Mexico and Central America had showed up in the early 20th century, they would have been welcome, as factories were low tech and lots of hands were needed. Henry Ford would have needed lots of help. But we are now on the cusp of a new age. Going forward, not many people will be needed to make things. And those people who still will be employed, have to be very smart, very well trained.

Whatever labor jobs remain in those industries of farming and manufacturing, the wages are driven down by too much imported labor. The wages get suppressed, destroying American families…..women and children get hurt. Liberals who push for Open Borders think they are kind. They are not kind. They are cruel and stupid as their open border policies let in drugs and destroy middle America. Shame on liberals.

All this change in technology, is a good news/bad news story for America:

The good news is, that all those companies that went overseas for manufacturing, will likely come back, in time. However, as things get more and more automated and need fewer people, there will be no more point in having those manufacturing jobs, offshore. Rather than shipping manufactured goods across the Pacific Ocean, supply chains will shrink and everything in the near future, that we need in the United States, will be manufactured close to home, since it will be cheaper as time goes on. The bad news is, those jobs will come home, but we don’t need Americans to do them either, as they will be largely automated in the coming decades.

All this automation coming our way, is part of a long American story about embracing science and technology. That’s how we became the global leader.

Ever hear of “Operation Paper-Clip”? It was an American program, during the Cold War, to bring top German Scientists, who used to work for Hitler and the Nazis, over to America….to work for us. Remember, we Americans were the main army that won the war against Hitler, on the Western Front….so we liberated France, let the Canadians handle Holland, we liberated Italy and all of Western Europe, with the Brits, while the Russians pincer-ed in Nazi Germany, from the east. Russia ended up conquering the eastern part of Germany, we conquered the western part of Germany. So we ended up with a large army in Western Europe, and in West Berlin, which was deep in the heart of East Germany, since one of our armies was a bit too quick!

So the Nazis, whatever you think about them, and hopefully that’s mostly bad, they did have some wonderful scientists. The Russians quickly scooped up top German scientists in the eastern part of their conquered territory. Reluctant to miss a beat, we Americans scooped up top German scientists, in the Western part. These men became the backbone of our NASA rocket program. Some people say it was actually Nazi Germany that made it to the moon first. So a certain baby, pictured below, grew up to be Werner von Braun’s boss, and along with NASA, was a boss of the man who put America on the moon.

So America has in the past, taken advantage of talent, wherever it came from. That includes the people that this baby ended up hating: Jewish people.

The country in the world with the most Jews is the United States, not Israel. We have 6-7 Million Jews, they have slightly less. Jews fought in our armies, in WWII. Jews are vastly over-represented in education, science and achievement, winning about 25% of Nobel Prizes in Science, mostly for America. This has given us a huge, huge scientific advantage, this past century. This is a smart immigration choice, we should continue. We should seek out bright people around the world, as immigrants, to keep America vital and the leader of the world. Today that means India, often.

Today it is highly educated technologists and computer programmers and scientists from India, who contribute much. Like the Nazis of our past, who put us on the moon, like the Jews who continue to contribute so much to science, the Indian Americans are making remarkable achievements.

According to Pew Research, 70% of Indian Americans (immigrants from India) have a college degree…with 40% having graduate or professional degrees. This is the kind of immigrant we need, for the 21st Century, which be all about science and engineering.

In an interesting coincidence, the origin of the Nazi symbol was ancient India.
