I’m an ignorant bastard. I don’t mind telling you that. I don’t know that much, about what I write about here. I’m perfectly willing to be a fool, though…in the interest of truth. And that may be, my best feature: At least I’m a humble fool, willing to be ridiculed….and set straight. So if my “theory” is a crock of nonsense, let me know. For it’s hardly a “theory”…it’s just mostly ignorant, half-informed wild speculation.

Little known fact about “IQ”…if you google “top 10 countries for Mensa”….Mensa is the home for high I.Q. Dorks…..as in “The Dork Web”…..you will find, all the top countries, with the highest number of Mensa dorks…they are all white. Despite the fact that Asians have higher IQ’s than whites, Europeans turn out more geniuses. To me, that’s the likely explanation, why whites invented more science. Pretty much all of science was invented by whites. Why is that? We aren’t even the smartest race. East Asians have higher IQ’s than do whites. Seems pretty strange to me, that it was whites who invented science, more or less….almost all of it. It should have been East Asians. Anyone who has been to university with a lot of East Asians can tell you, lots of them are very smart, doing very  well in science….so why didn’t they invent science?

Back in the late 70s, I had friends at U.C.L.A….the California University. Even then, Asians were over-represented, per capita. The local joke was U.C.L.A. stood for “United Caucasians Lost among Asians”….lol

In British Columbia, Canada, at the local UBC…University of British Columbia, there were lots of Chinese students. They were over-represented in the student facility. The local joke was “UBC stands for United Brotherhood of Chinese”….lol

And in Vancouver, British Columbia in the same era, the local technical institute, one level below university, B.C.I.T….British Columbia Institute of Technology….the local joke was “B.C.I.T.” stands for Basic Chinese in Training….lol

List of top 10 countries in the world, for the most Mensa people. Mensa of course, is only open to people with extremely high IQ’s:

3. United Kingdom
4. Netherlands
5. Denmark
6. Ireland
7. Norway
8. Luxembourg
9. Czech Republic
10. Croatia

And that is quite curious. The list is all white….strange, in light of the fact that East Asians have higher IQ’s than whites. Where is Japan on the list? Where is Korea? Where is China?

What? Strange….No European countries in the top 5, for IQ, on the list of the smartest countries….yet the list on top Mensa countries is all European…why is that?

We have very few geniuses in the white population, but we seem to have more geniuses than other races….if the Mensa data is correct. And it’s people with genius IQ’s that make a society go forward…..the Newtons, the Teslas of the world. Yes, Asians on average are smarter than whites. But where are the Asian equivalent to Einstein? Newton? Tesla?…there are none.

I think that Asians lack creativity. I’ve known lots of them. They are very smart, but not that imaginative. They are all like accountants and lawyers and bankers: smart…very smart often…but little imagination. I’m no art critic, but: I’ve stumbled through a few Chinese art shops. I really like the look of much of Chinese art, but 5 minutes into the shop and it becomes apparent that it repeats itself, a lot. Not a lot of variety in style. Not that creative.

Here is what wiki says about “Openness” ….one of the “Big 5 Personality Traits”

“Openness to experience (inventive/curious vs. consistent/cautious). Appreciation for art, emotion, adventure, unusual ideas, curiosity, and variety of experience. Openness reflects the degree of intellectual curiosity, creativity and a preference for novelty and variety a person has. It is also described as the extent to which a person is imaginative or independent and depicts a personal preference for a variety of activities over a strict routine. So creative people are more open to experience. This wiki description about openness sounds to me, a lot more descriptive of a lot of white people I have met, rather than the Chinese people I have met…..who all seem quite smart, but Chinese tend to be more conscientious, closed minded, pragmatic, low in openness, persevering, organized, dependable, self-disciplined, dutiful, driven, more about planned response, less about being spontaneous, but more focused and reliable….compared to whites.

Einstein visited China in the 1920s and came to the same conclusion. He has a quote on the internet about how boring and unimaginative Chinese are. Everyone said he was racist. I don’t think so. He had nothing against Chinese. He just realized they are pretty boring.

In another entry, Einstein described how “Chinese don’t sit on benches while eating but squat like Europeans do when they relieve themselves out in the leafy woods. All this occurs quietly and demurely. Even the children are spiritless and look obtuse.”

The book, The Travel Diaries of Albert Einstein: The Far East, Palestine, and Spain, 1922–1923, was edited by Ze’ev Rosenkranz, senior editor and assistant director of the Einstein Papers Project at the California Institute of Technology.

Even really dumb whites, lots of them are pretty creative. I would guess you can find proof of this. Here’s how: Test whites vs. Asians for “Openness” on the “Big 5 Personality Traits”…it’s a well established test in the social sciences that picks up how creative people are, how open they are, to experience. My guess is there are a lot more whites who are open and creative…and not that many Chinese.

When white people are open and creative, usually they are “liberal” people. Most artists are liberal. Most entrepreneurs are liberal types….whereas white bankers and accountants tend to be conservative types. My guess is there are far fewer creative, liberal Chinese people. So combine the low level of creativity in China, with producing far fewer geniuses…and that’s why I think China, despite being full of smart people, sort of was useless for a long time. And that’s also why whites invented most things: We have more geniuses, more creative people…even though, at the same time, we have more dumb people, than do East Asians.

If I’m full of shit…and I might be full of shit…let me know what you think of my idea.

And let’s be clear: I don’t believe there is such a thing as a “superior race”. No such thing. But what I do believe is, we are all human, but we evolved with some interesting local variations in human beings. We need to understand what those variations are and how they affect our lives. For instance if we expect equal economic and educational outcomes among races, we are likely to be disappointed when reality doesn’t comply with our expectations. South Africa would like equal outcome among all races, with education. This seems unlikely to happen, as there are large group variations in intelligence. So pretending the races are all the same, as most liberals do, will likely lead to more racial hostility and division…..no decent person wants that. Liberals are in deep denial on race….IMO….I’m sure there are genius level black Africans, I’ve been there, met some really smart people, but I doubt the races are equal in every way. Not better, not worse, just different. Live and let live, I say….Don’t be hostile to people from other races.

There are 2 types of people, who are hostile to other races:

1-Idiots

2-Assholes

Do you know what an idiot is? Just another asshole….

And another caveat: Variations within populations are much, much larger, than variations between populations, so for any one particular individual, you really can’t tell someone’s intelligence, just based on skin color.

In “A Troublesome Inheritance”, New York Times Science writer Nicholas Wade looks at the ongoing research on human beings, which may uncover this century, a lot more truth about racial variation in human beings. The picture if far from complete, so let’s not rush to any judgements.

But my guess is basically that the races have variations on intelligence and “White People” have a lot more variation in their population on intelligence…overall we are not the smartest race. East Asians are. But White People, is my guess, have more creative, open people in their population, and more really dumb and really really, really smart people in their population. More Einsteins and more Homer Simpsons, is my theory. And East Asians have more Accountants and Bankers….but less creative types.

And the great thing about my “theory”….I use that word quite loosely…is it’s testable. It should show up in the data on The Big 5 Personality Types.
