This week’s news wrap-up features the migrant caravan heading for the U.S. Southern Border, Megyn Kelly’s termination from NBC, the arrest of the alleged mail bomber, and Michael Avenatti and Julie Swetnick being referred for criminal investigation. The weekly hottie is YouTuber Ally Hardesty.
Hello everyone and welcome back to 2 Day with 2 Cents, wrapping up your weekly news. As the news cycle continues to contain more and more ridiculous bluster, deciding what to cover is getting difficult, but here’s what I’ve got. On everyone’s mind all week has been the caravan of migrants currently heading towards the U.S. Southern Border.
As I’ve said many times before, as a Libertarian I firmly oppose state enforced border restrictions. The government has no business telling anyone where they can and can’t go so long as they’re not violating anyone else’s rights in the process. However, what we’re dealing with in this caravan is a situation brought about by government itself. Democratic politicians have not been even the least bit discrete about their intentions to expand the state’s power by inviting foreign migrants to the U.S., promising them lucrative welfare benefits, education, healthcare, and anything else they could ever want so long as they vote for Democrats. Combine that with the financial support of he who shall not be named, and it’s no mystery that large groups of people are flocking to the U.S., whether or not it would be economically viable for them to do so under normal free market conditions. That being said, until the welfare state and democratic elections process can be abolished, immigration policy of any sort is a lose-lose situation. However, under current circumstances, here’s what I would do if I were Donald Trump. I would call up Bernie Sanders, Ocommieo-Cortez, and every other big-name liberal who’s spoken out in favor of these migrants and offer to provide transportation for each and every migrant to their front doors. I mean, if liberals are so in favor of letting these migrants in the U.S. and then using taxpayer funds to provide for them, surely Bernie ought to be able to put a few of them up in one of his three homes. Right?
I’m sure everyone heard that NBC host Megyn Kelly has been fired after making controversial statements about black face earlier this week. I guess her quarrels with President Trump and Alex Jones didn’t end up being her downfall after all.
I don’t like Megyn Kelly, but this was ridiculous. Regardless of how racist you think black face might be, all she did was point out that people like to dress up for Halloween, and that if they want to dress up as someone of another race, that might mean they actually respect that person. She just stated her honest opinion and then got fired even after apologizing. It’s NBC’s right to fire her of course, but come on, how many people deserve to get fired for respectfully stating their opinion, even a controversial one. This is why I would never want to work for a major media outlet.
In another story that caught headlines for obvious reasons, numerous mail packages that appeared to be explosive devices were sent to liberal elites including George Soros, the Clintons, Corey Booker, and CNN. As of Friday, a suspect was taken into custody.
Now, by the time this video is released, more information about the suspect and this case will probably be available, but what’s been released as I record this is that the suspect has a long history of arrests, including having once threatened to bomb a Florida Power and Light Company, and that when arrested, his van sported pictures of Donald Trump, Mike Pence, and a bumper sticker that said “CNN sucks.” Of course, the leftist media has wasted no time blaming President Trump’s rhetoric for the suspects actions. Never mind of course Maxine Waters and Hillary Clinton calling for incivility and actual violence, no, this had to be Trump’s fault.
However, it was already noted by a former Navy Explosive Ordinance Disposal technician, earlier this week, that these devices were not made by a professional. The former technician stated on Twitter, “Whoever made that wanted it to be painfully obvious to anyone and everyone that it’s a ‘bomb.’ This is nearly the same as a bundle of road flares wrapped together with an old-timey alarm clock ticking away.” Not too long ago, I spoke about how InfoWars reporter Millie Weaver stated that she had evidence that false flag attacks by the left were coming in the near future. I’m in no position to confirm or deny anything about this particular case. I’m a commentator not a journalist. However, I wouldn’t put it beyond sophisticated leftists to orchestrate this whole thing right before the mid-term elections in an effort to shift sympathy votes towards the Democrats. Only time will tell. Maybe the suspect really is just a deranged Trump supporter who sent fake bombs to a bunch of leftists of his own volition, but if he really was, it remains to be seen why he didn’t send functional bombs. If he really did think that “CNN sucks,” surely he would’ve known how the media would react to his actions, and why would he think that would help Donald Trump’s cause. These are questions that need to be answered.
In my favorite story of the week, we’re again talking about Michael Avenatti, the man dubbed “Creepy Porn Lawyer.” It wasn’t that long ago that Avenatti took on Julie Swetnick as a client after she claimed that she had knowledge that Brett Kavanaugh orchestrated numerous gang rapes when he was in high school. However, her story fell apart almost immediately once she was interviewed on NBC. Now it seems that Senator Chuck Grassley is biting back, having ordered a criminal investigation into Avenatti and Swetnick for false claims made to Congress.
Of course, another revelation that Avenatti owes nearly 5 million dollars to a former employee isn’t really helping his case. I hope both of these scumbags crash and burn for their obviously politically motivated lies. But I’ve also gotta add, if I were Brett Kavanaugh, I would sue Swetnick, Ramirez and Ford for defamation. This leftist tactic of false sexual allegations has got to stop, and seeing false accusers convicted would be very helpful in making that happen. I doubt Kavanaugh will do so, but I would.
Picking this week’s weekly hottie was a tough ordeal, but there is one. Drumroll please.
This week’s weekly hottie is Ally Hardesty. I came across a video of hers in which she showcases a sexy cookie monster Halloween costume that she made herself, and it was just too creative not to praise it. Not to mention Ally is indeed gorgeous.
